FoundArt Academy is a collection of bilingual educational programs created by the Art Foundation for People with Disabilities, enabling behavioral training and support to children, youth and adults with special needs.

Art Foundation for People with Disabilities (AFPD) is a non-profit organization that has worked for people with disabilities since 2005. It is a training and education project in which the main pillar is the use of art as an alternative methodological tool to apply the techniques and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

FoundArt Academy develops the skills that people with disabilities need in order to perform activities of daily life in terms of independence and personal care; thus, achieving a better quality of life.

Its main objective is the development of new skills and modification of socially inappropriate behaviors; thus, promoting an active and functional individual in the community, improving their lives and consequently that of their families.

A research conducted by the AFPD, along with other several centers dedicated to study of behavior and behavior modification for people with special needs, has confirmed the positive influence of different manifestations of art on these individual when looking for empowerment and functional realignment of actions and behavioral parameters. Thus, this facilitates the development of skills and other different processes in the cognitive and psychomotor field, among others.
